The Myth of Card Counting

There are so many misconceptions about card counting and what it takes not only to beat the casino at single deck blackjack, but multiple deck as well. It is time to address all the false notions players have about card counting.

Do multiple decks stop card counters as casino intended? Not at all. Of all misconceptions about blackjack, and there are many, the biggest misconception of all is that it is hard to count cards in a multiple deck. On the contrary, it is easy to count cards, whether it be a single deck or a multiple deck. And with the landmark non-counting multiple deck strategy that was developed in the 90's, it is even possible to beat the multiple deck game without a counting strategy.

Blackjack can be beat--with the odds. One deck, four decks, whatever, there is still no casino that will knowingly deal cards to well-known professional blackjack players. And it is not because casinos don't like the green of their money. They just don't like them getting their green.

Card counting is fairly simple, so simple in fact that just about anyone can learn how to count cards in under one hour. The term "card counting" is actually misleading because you are not actually counting cards, but keeping just one number in your head--that's it. Essentially, that one number tells you whether there are more high cards in the deck than low cards, which is good for you, or whether there are more low cards than high ones, which is good for the casino.

The simplicity of counting cards comes as a shock to just about everyone that was taught, but again, that is only if you use a system that is designed for use under actual casino conditions, and that is a legitimate one--two conditions that were hard to find when Avery Cardoza originally developed the Cardoza Base Count Strategy. you don't need to be mathematically oriented or even have a particular good memory to be a counter. You do need, however, to be willing to invest some time to become a winning player.

Students can never get over it when Cardoza have them counting cards within five minutes and using the strategy within one hour. It is really that simple. If you take your money seriously and don't like losing, professional blackjack players strongly encourage you to learn a counting strategy, or if you are not so inclined, there is the non-counting strategy, the Cardoza 1,2,3 Multiple Deck Non-Counter. Either way, the gain in your skills will pay for the strategies in under an hour.
